Introducing Teams: Grow Together on Bluesky
Bluesky is growing fast. Teams, brands, and communities are moving to the platform — but the tools to manage a Bluesky presence as a group haven’t kept up.
You’re sharing a brand account, but you can’t see who’s driving results. You’re running a content calendar, but there’s no way to compare performance across writers. You’re building a community, but growth metrics are scattered across individual profiles.
Teams fixes that.
Why teams matter
Most Bluesky guides assume you’re a solo creator. Post consistently, engage with your audience, watch your followers grow. But the reality for many users is different:
- Brand teams manage multiple voices under one strategy
- Content teams need to compare performance across writers
- Communities want to track collective growth
- Agencies manage Bluesky presence for multiple clients
Before Teams, you’d need to manually check each person’s profile, screenshot analytics, and share them in a group chat. That’s not a workflow — it’s a workaround.
What Teams gives you
A single dashboard for your team’s performance
Instead of checking 10 different profiles, you get one view that shows your team’s combined metrics. Total followers, posts, engagement rates — all in one place.

How it works
Create a team
Creating a team takes seconds. Give it a name, and BlueOrbit generates a clean, URL-friendly slug. You’re the admin — you control settings, manage members, and handle invitations.
Invite via email
Send invitations to anyone with a Bluesky account. They’ll receive an email with a link to join your team. The invitation expires after 7 days, and you can revoke it at any time.

Privacy-first consent model
We take privacy seriously. Before anyone joins your team, they see exactly what data will be shared — and what won’t. Members can revoke consent at any time, pausing their analytics sharing without leaving the team.
You've been invited to join
Bluesky Growth Team
What data will be shared with the team:
- Your post count and engagement metrics
- Your follower count (current and historical)
- Your top performing posts
- Your engagement rate trends
What will NOT be shared:
- Your DMs or private conversations
- Your login credentials or account details
- Your browsing activity on Bluesky
You can revoke consent at any time from your team settings.
Granular visibility control
Admins choose how team data is shared. With All Members visibility, everyone can see each other’s analytics. With Self Only visibility, members only see their own data — useful for competitive teams or sensitive environments.

Built for real teams
Frozen analytics for departed members
When someone leaves your team, their analytics don’t disappear. BlueOrbit freezes their stats at the moment of departure, so the leaderboard and historical data remain accurate. This means your team’s performance history stays intact, even as members come and go.
Departed Members (Frozen Analytics)
Historical stats preserved at time of departure

Idempotent invitation acceptance
What happens if someone clicks an invitation link twice? Or if they’re already a team member? BlueOrbit handles it gracefully — no duplicate rows, no errors, just a clean experience.
Security by design
When a non-member tries to access a team, they get a 404 — not a 403. This prevents information leakage about team existence. You can’t enumerate teams by guessing slugs.
The analytics engine
Under the hood, Teams uses a three-tier materialization strategy that keeps analytics fast and resource-efficient:
- Per-member sync — Individual user analytics are synced periodically
- Team rollup — After each member sync, aggregate metrics are computed across active, consenting members
- Daily snapshot — Historical time-series data is captured daily for growth charts
This approach means your team dashboard loads instantly — no live aggregation, no waiting for calculations. The rollup runs inline over a small dataset (teams are capped at 50 members), and the daily snapshot scheduler uses PostgreSQL upserts for idempotent, low-overhead storage.
Who is this for?
Brand teams
If you’re managing a brand presence on Bluesky, Teams lets you see which team members drive the most engagement, what content performs best, and how your collective audience grows.
Content teams
Writers, creators, and content strategists can compare performance across the team. See who resonates with the audience, what post formats work, and where to focus your content efforts.
Communities
Building a Bluesky community? Teams helps you track collective growth, identify active contributors, and understand what content sparks engagement.
Agencies
Managing Bluesky for multiple clients? Teams gives you a clean, organized view of each client’s performance — without sharing login credentials or screenshotting analytics.
What’s next
We’re building more features for Teams:
- Exportable reports — Download team analytics as PDF or CSV
- Comparison views — Measure growth across specific time periods
- Custom metrics — Define your own KPIs and track them over time
- Integration with campaigns — Connect team analytics to your BlueOrbit campaigns for end-to-end performance tracking
Getting started
Teams is live now. If you’re already using BlueOrbit, head to the sidebar and click “Teams” to create your first team. If you’re new, sign up and start building your team in minutes.
What’s included
- 3 team members included in the base price
- €12/month for the Team plan
- €3/month for each additional member beyond the first 3
- Seats are added automatically when you invite new members, and removed when they leave or are removed
Good to know
Teams is an analytics-only feature. It gives you a shared dashboard across your team’s Bluesky accounts — but each team member still needs their own BlueOrbit subscription (Pro plan) to run campaigns on their personal account.
Bluesky is better when you grow together. Teams makes that possible.
